Earlier today, Parallels Inc. officially released the newest version of its flagship virtualization solution, Parallels Desktop for Mac 6. The sixth installment brings with it more than 80 new and improved features, according to the makers.
Confirmed on September 9 via a press release issued by Parallels Inc., Parallels Desktop 6 was scheduled to ship five days later, on September 14. That day has come, and Parallels Desktop 6 is immediately available for download.

Last week, Parallels also announced Parallels Desktop 6 Switch to Mac Edition, which includes Parallels Desktop 6, as well as a host of new features specifically designed to facilitate moving stuff from a PC onto a Mac.
The package includes a Parallels High-Speed USB data transfer cable, which users must employ to move all of their programs, files, user settings even browser favorites and bookmarks to a Mac.
